Q1: What types of national land can be sold by tender and how can one apply?

A1:

According to Article 53 of the National Property Act, national non-public use currently vacant houses or unused land with an area is less than 1,650 square meters shall be sold by tender by the National Property Administration, MOF. If its area is 1,650 square meters or more, it shall not be sold by tender. If the use of the house or land is complicated and cannot be vacated in a short period of time, this may be reported to the Ministry of Finance for approval for selling the real estate by tender under the current situation. If it is necessary for the person in need of the land to use national non-public use land, he/she may apply to the branch of the National Property Administration in charge of the management of the land to make a bid. According to the instructions of the Executive Yuan, national land in Taipei City has not been for sale since March 2, 2010.
