3. Q: How do tenants of national land for agriculture, farming, animal husbandry, and culture apply for erecting rooftop PV facilities on facilities for agriculture, animal husbandry, or culture?

A:    In coordination with the national renewable energy policy and to ensure that agricultural land is used for agriculture purposes, the NPA has reviewed and amended the "Regulations for Review of Approval for Agricultural Facility Construction on Leased National Farmlands”. From November 9, 2017, tenants of national land for agriculture, farming, animal husbandry, and culture may apply for erecting rooftop PV facilities on agricultural facilities. The application process includes two phases:

(1)   Tenants must acquire the approval and permit for building facilities for agriculture, animal husbandry, or culture from the competent authority of agriculture and submit the approval documents (including photos) to the leasing agency for reference.

(2)   Tenants submit the drawings and application form of green energy facilities to apply for the issuance of the approval for erecting rooftop green energy facilities on agricultural facilities (except for screen houses)
