Full-scale inspection of national land
  1. To ensure the accuracy of cadastral data of national land and the consistency with the data in the land register and current land status, we planned the “Non-Public-Use National Land Total Inspection Program” in 1985 to investigate non-public-use national land under our direct management. Between 1986 and 1989, we completed the inspection of 232,982 lots and with an area of 16,832 hectares. To expand the scope of inspection, we established the “National Land Full Inspection Program” at the instruction of the Executive Yuan to perform a total inspection of public-use and non-public-use national land over seven years between 1990 and 1996. Under this program, we completed the inspection of 827,386 lots (units) of national land with an area of 285,621 hectares, including 204,822 lots of public-use national land with a total area of 99,855 hectares; 47,639 lots (units) of non-public-use national land outsourced for operations with an area of 15,637 hectares; 202,660 lots (units) of non-public-use national land outsourced for management with an area of 120,052 hectares; and 372,265 lots (units) of non-public-use national land under direct NPA management with an area of 44,077 hectares.
  2.  After the functional and organizational adjustment of the Taiwan Provincial Government (TWPG) on December 21, 1998, the previous TWPG property was assumed in its entirety as national property. From then on, previous TWPG property has thus been transferred to the national property management system. To ensure the accuracy of the cadastral data of TWPG property to facilitate efficient handling of national property and enhance land use efficiency, the Ministry of Finance established and promulgated the “Previous TWPG Property Total Inspection Program” in Letter Tai-Cai-Can-Jie-Zi No. 0900011591 on May 3, 2001 and informed all management agencies of public assets and NPA agencies to implement the total inspection of previous TWPG property from 2002.
